Tajindong!!!__ Name of a dream

Note: Special thanks to Our tribal friend Robert bawm. He was our main source of enthusiasm in this adventure. After Coming back From Tajindong we 3 out of 4 seriously attacked by Maleria. It took a month and a half to overcome from Maleria for me. Only Han escaped from Maleria. Our team member was Me, Han, Tanvir, Abid and Robert. Thank you.

Forest before Baklai para.

The boundary of Baklai para.

The Massive Tajindong.

This is climbing time man.

Finally in the sky line.

Tajindong with height of 3300 feet's approx known as the country's highest peak.It is located in one of the remote part of Bangladesh. The exact location is Thanchi, Bandarban. Tajindong is the local name and there is another name of it called the "Bijoy" which is kept by the Government of Bangladesh.

There are three different peaks of Tajindong range named as Chir ChirMoy and Tajindong and another one is unnamed. In my opinion Chri ChirMoy is higher than Tajindong. As climbing to Chir Chir Moy is real tough so people like to call Tajindong as highest peak. Chir Chir Moy should be at least 20 feet's high than Tajindong.

In our adventure to Tajindong we Start trekking from Ruma and finish it at Thanchi. It was 4 days trekking. In the way to Tajindong we covered Boga lake and Keokaradong. Green vegetation is the companion in this trek.We stay 4 nights in 4 different tribal village accordingly Boga lake para,Thaikhayan para,Shimplampi para,Boarding headman para.Without the last village all the village was Bawm tribe. Only the last one was Mro tribe which was the most fascinating part of our Expedition.

There is a common debate about the highest peak of Bangladesh. Some say Keokaradong, some says Tajindong. But I will say none of this peaks are the highest.

Tajindong--highest or not does not matter. But the total trail way back from Ruma to Thanchi is fascinating with immense resources and variation with tribal life, hills, bushes and waterfalls.

Keokaradong__ the heaven of hills

The cloud is falling over Keokaradong.

This was the highest peak.

The Wave of hills from Keokaradong peak.

The sky is that blue.

The silence of Keokaradong is unimaginable.

Keokaradong is the former highest peak of Bangladesh with height of 3172 feet. But it lost its position to Tajindong few years back, as Highest peak of Bangladesh. Tajindong is Few meters higher than Keokaradong.

Keokaradong is newly opened destination in Bangladesh specially for young people who are adventurous. It is a 8 hours trail from Ruma and it takes 3 hours to reach Keokaradong from Boga lake. Ruma is one of the smallest town in Bangladesh and it is in Bandarban.

There is fantastic village just before Keokaradong called Darjeeling Para. The view from Darjeeling Para can never be forgotten. Darjeeling Para is the 3rd highest Locality of Bangladesh. This village is populated by Bawm tribe.

BOGA LAKE___ the lake of dragon

Note: All photo are taken by Nurul Riad Han.

Boga Lake at your first look.

Boga Lake from North.

Boga lake at 2.00pm January second 2006.

The Lake of Dragon.

The Lake of Mystery.

This is the lake of dream, the lake of epic and this is the lake of Dragon. According to the myth this lake is the home of a Dragon. The name of this lake is BOGA LAKE. Local name of this lake is "Bogakain" lake. This is the 2nd highest lake in Bangladesh. Its exact height is 1200 feet above from sea level. Boga lake is situated in Ruma thana of Bandarban district. This lake also situated in the trail to Keokaradong, the 2nd highest peak of Bangladesh(3172feet).

The only to reach Boga lake was by foot, only 1 years back. But there is a road which touches Boga lake. The road is build to destroy the forest (there is not a lot of forest left there now a days). But who love nature they should go to Boga Lake by trekking. The trail is fantastic and it is a 5 hour trail.

Boga Lake is not a very big lake. It is 12acres in size. The water of the lake is crystal clear and under the water there are rocks and boulders all over. The lake is completely surrounded by high hills. There is a small tribal village just at the shore of Boga lake called "Bogalake para". The members of the village are from Bowm tribe and they are Cristian.

Though Boga lake was nearly a unreachable destination even 2 years back from now but now it is the number one attractive place to visit in whole Bangladesh for its beauty and wilderness.

Lake

One of the most beautiful lake of Bangladesh. Three different view from three different angel. This lake is situated in one of the most remote place of Bangladesh. The Lake is situated 1200feet above the Sea level. The Water of lake is crystal clear. The beauty of the lake is unimaginable.

What Is The Name Of The Lake?

What we have?

Some people always say what we have? they mention about the poverty, corruption and various problems about the country. But I always was in the side of Positiver. My question mark for those people is, what we don't have?. Forget about every thing. I just want to Say something for those who are taking every possible benefit from the country but What they are doing? They are Singing Hindi Songs, Watching Hindi Movies and when they get vacation they went to GOA. Fantastic.

Sorry to say that, If any readers of my blog are that type please get lost. Please.

This is the time of Globalization. It will come.We cant stop it. As English is a International language you can develop your English. But Why Hindi? We have our own culture and we are a separate country from them. Our culture is not poorer than what they have. But what our young generation is doing? They are directly following Hindi culture. And those who are not doing this they are doing more worse, they are following Western culture.

But Fortunately there are another class of people and they are the readers of my blog who came up to this line. They think about Bangladesh..

Ya we have everything and there is no doubt. Lets put our head together and fight from our own position and Know your Bangladesh.

This blog is for the Nature of Bangladesh. It will show the beauty of Bangladesh. But all the above things are commonly practised and increasing adversly. If I have heart any body, I do not have any thing to do.
